Wendy Lawal


Wendy Lawal is a Nigerian actor whose love and interest for acting grew from her teenage years participating in church drama. She went on to study Creative Arts at the University of Lagos, where she got to feature in numerous stage plays and graduated as a theater major.

Her debut on television screen was in 2009, where she appeared in a Television series titled Living in Lagos. She contested in a beauty pageant and was crowned miss Lagos State Carnival in 2012.

Subsequently she has appeared in movies, short films, television series and web series such as Africa Magic’s Telenovela Jemeji, Journey to self, The room, A shot in the foot, Our Best friends wedding, The men’s club, Out of sight, The Ojays, House 31, Paradise way, midlife blues, One minute man, The vacation, Foreign love, to name a few.

She currently plays the role of Shoshanna in Mnet/Africa Magic’s  popular TV Series, Tinsel.
